(Excellent ++) You all know the wonderful sound of the DS2H. This 12 fret dread has a warm & inviting voice that just begs to be played. Add to that an all Jet Black finish, and you have one stunning guitar in addition to that beautiful sound. Don’t know that I have ever seen an all black DS2H. I will be very tempted to order one in the future.

This little baby is lively and responsive. Great punch and balance with a finesse that works great for both finger style and strumming. Hard to beat this one for an Orchestra model. I love the understated elegance of this guitar. Simple appointments, but after all isn’t the value in the sound.
|
|
 |
(As New - Excellent +++) This guitar was custom ordered by Quincy’s Guitars originally, and it is now back in the adoption pool. Just one wonderful guitar. This was an experiment that worked incredibly well. Tried to match the edges of the western shaded top to the sides & back with a custom stain, and it worked really well. Distinctive clear tone with great balance and clarity. Just one way to describe this guitar - SEXY.

Another fine 290 from the Boys of 290. I love this model, and this one doesn't disappoint. Vintage White has become my favorite finish for the 290, and the addition of Tortoise appointments just makes it even cooler. Don't miss out on this one as it is a true winner.

This is my favorite way to dress a C10. Total Vintage Vibe. This little lady has a musical voice that draws you in, and in, and in. You will forget you are playing just listening to it. Woody and warm with a sophisticated and balanced tone. This one is the total package.

 |
(2001-Excellent ++) Here is one you don't see everyday. Think Clarence White in a Lefty with a nut width of 1 3/4", Vintage neck & bridge spacing, and one spectacular voice. If you are a lefty looking for your ultimate guitar, this is it. Open & alive, this is the real deal in a Brazilian Dreadnaught. If you miss this one you will probably never see another.

 |
(Excellent ++) Note to all Varnish lovers out there: You need to check this one out! I’ve had some wonderful CJ Mh A Sunbursts come through my shop (including the one that Jerry Jeff Walker bought), but this one takes a CJ to a different level. Super responsive and open.

(Excellent ++ )
If you have wondered what a 17 year old Collings Brazilian Dreadnaught sounds like, here it is. WOW. Open & warm with just the right amount of shimmer and structure. This one has THE VOICE. This one is a must play, as words don’t fully describe it.

(As New - Excellent +++) Another twist on a D1 that I think you will like. Very strong and lively, with great balance. Notes just seem to want to jump out of this one. (Probably due to the lack of tongue brace and Adirondack top braces). Just a great D1. Also added herringbone purfling to spice it up. .

A feisty little number from the Boys of 290. Been a while since I have had a deep body OM1, and I had forgotten how wonderful these can be. This one has a throaty voice and is clear as a bell. Kind of a Collings version of a Grand Concert, and it is ready to be adopted. Don't miss this one.

We often overlook East Indian Rosewood guitars, but this one will change your mind as to how special they can really be. Chimey and bell-like, this one has the voice of an angel. Perfect balance and articulation. This one is loaded with songs just needing to be played.

(Excellent ++) Just about as close to new as it gets. This is one guitar you just won't want to put down. Very open and balanced with just the right amount of sparkle. All this in a package that is understated yet elegant. You probably can tell I like this one a lot.

(Excellent ++) Very close to new condition. If you are a sound hole sniffer, you will love this one. Smells just the way it did when it left Collings. This one has great dynamic range with perfect clarity and volume. Just what you would expect from the flagship Collings dreadnaught. Did I mention the exquisite sunburst top?

(Excellent +) If you have ever wondered what a CW Mh A should really sound like this is it. Only one description for this one - TONE MACHINE. Sparkly highs, bell like mids, and full articulate bottom end. Whispers as well as it barks. This is the real deal. Don’t miss this one.

Up for sale is another wonderful SJ cutaway from the boys down 290 way. These guitars never fail to amaze me. This Dread/OM marriage is just amazing. Wonderful full, balanced sound with lots of sparkle. Works equally well with fingers or a pick. I always keep these on order as they are one of my favorites in the Collings lineup.

I love the vintage vibe of the 290 in Tobacco Sunburst. Understated but welcoming like a great old pair of jeans. The Lollar P90's have such power and at the same time such subtleness. A must have in any ones electric collection

Whoa!!! How can this much sound come out of a guitar this size? This little 02 thinks it is a dreadnaught. This one has a spicy sound that will shock you. Great balance and clarity in the perfect sofa guitar, although it will hold its own in any situation. Test drive this little lady. You won’t be disappointed.

Simplicity at its finest! This little number has all the goods! It has clarity, focus, woodiness, and an abundance of tone and sustain. Pretty much covers all the bases in a package that has understated elegance.

(Recent - Excellent ++) Here it is! The Cowboy without the stencil!!! Amazing sounding instrument. Strong warm trebles, the perfect bass response, and balanced midrange. This one is the whole package!

(Recent - Excellent ++) I only know of two 16" Collings Archtops ever done with varnish, and they both reside in Austin with clients of mine. Varnish is a $2,500.00 up-charge on an archtop. This is the only one I know of with the 1 3/4" nut width. This one does everything an AT-16 should do, but warmer and more open due to the varnish. Still has the original Collings T-shirt it was delivered with. Come and get it.

 |
(Excellent +++) This little guitar with all the characters in the description is one fun little guitar. Extremely easy to play and a tone monger. Super articulate with a woody flair and an even tonal range. I like this little lady more every time I play her.

The first thing you realize when you play this C10 is the depth of tone. Very warm and musical. This one whispers as well as it barks. In addition it is drop dead gorgeous. The combination of dark sunburst with tigerstripe pickguard takes you back somewhere in time.

If money were no object and I wanted to create the most elegant dreadnaught possible without bling overkill, this is the guitar I would build, and we did. I have had a few Collings Brazilian dreads in the last few months, but I will tell you this is the pick of the litter, not only for its beauty, but for its sound.

Up for grabs is in my opinion the perfect Collings Orchestra Model. The marriage of Englemann and Indian Rosewood is is a match made in heaven. Incredible balance, strong fundamentals, and just the right amount of shimmer. Play it with fingers or a pick and it is equally at home. Don’t miss this one.

The look of a dark Walnut stain on a all Mahogany Orchestra Model with the added touch of an Abalone Rosette just knocks my socks off. So simple but at the same time so elegant. This guitar is a rib rattler that is both woody and warm, with incredible volume. What more could you want?

Up for grabs is a first year CJ. This guitar has an amazingly rich tone. It is warm and inviting, with great balance and clarity. This is not in museum condition, but is structurally great. In other words it is a player. Recent pickup addition and set up by Dick Dubois of Collings Guitars.

The guitar that made Collings famous. Still the best seller in the roster. This dread is soulful with excellent clarity and punch. Just enough overtones to be musical without being mushy.

Nice to see an older Collings in this condition. The top has a nice Amber glow. This one has an open voice that just sings. One of the best sounding D2H’s that I have heard in a long time.

One of my favorite OM combinations. Love the look of all Mahogany with dark Walnut stain and Abalone rosette. Set off with nickel Waverly tuners and Ebony buttons. What’s not to like? Warm and woody, this is a excellent all Mahogany OM.

The marriage of an OM and a Dreadnaught is a beautiful thing! Very much a Grand Concert sound. The Adirondack braces and Sitka top create a very large sounding OM, with great clarity and focus.
