(VG+) Early 1938 (s/n 68922) Martin D18 guitar. If you are looking for the "Holy Grail" D18, here it is!!! Extremely lightweight with an open sound that only 72 years of age can produce. VGC+ (Circa 1928). This is a sweet little Koa back, sides, and top 0-18K. No cracks, issues, etc. Bridge and nut converted to play as flat top guitar (as opposed to Hawaiian style). Flush bar-frets. That great all Koa vintage tone. Newer hard case included.

This fine offering was purchased new by the owner in 1968. VG condition. Sitka spruce top with Brazilian Rosewood back & sides. This guitar has been to local luthier Dick Dubois, for his inspection. He reports that the following work is recommended: Reglue Bridge; Refret & true fretboard; & Replace Pickguard. The cost of these repairs would be approximately $360.00. He also reported that the neck will need resetting soon, and would recommend doing it at the same time. The total estimate of repairs is $610.00. The Brazilian Rosewood is a fine set, and has no cracks or issues. The top has finish wear around the soundhole and upper bouts, but is in Very Good Condition for its age. No cracks or issues with top other than previously described. Some finish checking as would be normal for the vintage. The guitar has the original Grover Tuners, and are fully functional. The case is of this vintage, but I do not believe it to be the original. This is a fine Brazilian D28.
