(VG+) Early 1938 (s/n 68922) Martin D18 guitar. If you are looking for the "Holy Grail" D18, here it is!!!
Extremely lightweight with an open sound that only 72 years of age can produce. Great volume, strong focused bass, & clear trebles.
This one has a quick response that works well for both fingerstyle and flatpicking. No visible cracks, repaired or otherwise, to any part of this guitar.
Original finish, pickguard, tuners, & nut. Bridge and bridge plate have been replaced with non original parts somewhere before 1973 when it was put in its case for posterity. From the estate of the original owner. Last year of the 1 3/4" nut width for this model.
- Dreadnaught body with mahogany back & sides
- Adirondack spruce top with advanced bracing
- V profile neck
All in all an incredibly intact 1938 D18. Don’t miss out on this one. You’ll wait a long time to find another one!!!
